Carvin Problems

I got a used Carvin R600 bi amped (yes I unfortunately have the series III model). But my problem is every time I pluck my string I get a clicking sound from the speakers and a hiss when sound is being produced. I know its the head b/c I tried different ones in my swr cab and no problem. Any help on this issue would be hardcore greatly appreciated!!!

First things first with the R series Carvin amps...always clean the effects loop jacks (in and out jack) with a contact cleaner when having a problem related to hiss or noise. Insert a 1/4" plug in and out a few times in each jack to spread the cleaner. Use preferably Deoxit.

Another common problem with the R series amps is the ribbon cables vibrate off inside of the amp. With power removed remove the top cover and make sure all ribbon cables are fully seated on their connectors. On my R600 (since sold) I backed up the cables against the rear wall with shipping foam to insure this wouldnt happen again.
