I'm not sure they'd be willing to do that - they won't even put the bridge pickup in the 60s spot as an option. Shame, I'd buy one.
Nordstrand big singles and big splits are just big rectangles. You could just make the J routes larger.
This would certainly be the easiest way to do it. It wouldn't be too hard to find a local tech to route out the extra bit required to stick the Nordy pickups in there.
They will make me a bass with no routs or electronics for an upcharge. The simplest thing to do for the sound I'd want is to just replace the pickups and make it passive, but I just like that real clean look and it may be worth it for me to pay the extra upcharge and custom work. Still thinking about it.
Just making sure... are you talking B50 or SB? My understanding was options like that are only for the B50, not the SB.They will make me a bass with no routs or electronics for an upcharge. If this were a 5 string, I would have pulled the trigger immediately. Gonna make someone very happy.
Edit: Just looked a little closer and saw the gold hardware. Almost!
I was ready to purchase a 2012 Mia fender deluxe v , but the SB kept saying "just give me a chance" so I ordered and have 4 more weeks to wait. I'm gonna play the hell out it for a week and see how she does. If it ain't the bomb, then I'm taking advantage of their 10 day trial/return policy and getting the deluxe. But I know if I didn't order one I would always be wondering about the SB. Just want to know that I've tried my options before settling .
I think I'm overwhelmed by the options and the wait.

This.Well...(Saying this politely) I believe that is the whole reason of the 'signature' model. Sekou is a big 70's guy and that was a key element for him in this bass.
B50? No P option for that one, or is it really considered that "inferior" to the SB for some reason?Anyone know of a P Bass that's on part with the B or SB series? Kinda getting an itch.
