Case Advice Please

Simple request, can anyone recommend a hard case that fits very snugly a Fender P? I don't want a generic box that lets it rattle around, but it needs to be cheap as well. Not interested in snakeskin, tweed and similar, just something that will offer decent protection against day-to-day wear and tear (am not intending standing on it or dropping any pianos on it either). Definitley a HARD case (not floppy gig-bag nonsense).

If anyone has any suggestions, then these would be greatly appreciated.

Also, same goes for a Rickenbacker bass case (not the stock factory supplied bendy ones please). Something cheap, cheerful that fits the bass.

little more than the one above but specifically says "fits most precision and jazz style basses". popular, should be easy enough to find at wherever your most comfortable buying from

FWIW the gator case holds my Jazz and P with no problems. SKB cases might be just slightly better quality.

i had an SKB "freedom" series case a few years ago that was molded inside for a P or J style bass and was like $80 but I don't know if they still make the freedom line. This one is the same price as the skb posted above but is the molded style that comes with new fender basses..

Roadrunner has worked well for me - rectangular, molded case for a little less than the SKBs.

No recommendations, but thank you for caring enough about your instrument to keep it well protected.

The guitarist in one of my bands will routinely drop $800+ on a guitar but refuses to buy proper cases for them. He only has gig bags and more often than not doesn't even use them. His guitars just sit out in his car "naked" in the back seat. DUH!
