Case for Gretsch 6070 bass

Hello friends,

Just scored a great 1963 Gretsch 6070 without a case. Its an odd beast for sure, but hoping someone has had some luck finding a case it fits into. Hard or gig bag, Im not picky. Just trying to avoid the custom (read expensive) route.

Oh. Well, then I won't mention Calton Cases, which would have been my first suggestion. But I'm fairly sure RoadRunner makes a gig bag that will fit an instrument like that. What's the scale length?

34” but the headstock is huge. And with the tailpiece it’s long.

I’ll look at the roadrunner cases. Not touring with it, but need something to get it to gigs.

Further update:
$15 1” mattress pad folded around bass and trimmed to fit in case covers bass. A non-elegant, but cost effective and satisfying solution. (Sorry about the dirty garage floor.)

Last update:
I stumbled across a Taylor AB model bass and the soft case is more durable and substantial then the one I used, and fits the 6070 like a glove. Pretty rare, but can be found every once in awhile. I now feel like it is protected adequately.
