Off-topic. My phone is an HTC 8X, and the camera is awful. I take a ton of photos with my phone so this is a bummer. It's a temporary problem though as I intend to get the Lumia coming to Verizon with 20MP and Ziess glass that they have been leaking all over the place since October but can't seem to find the time to release.... anyways....
I'm taking my wife's old iPhone to use as a camera at NAMM. It's better than most point and shoot's and less to carry. In airplane mode the battery should be great and I cleared out pretty much all the apps for space.
I don't have an A/B of the same subject but here is about all I can do with my HTC:
And here's an iPhone 4S shot:
I really like the camera on my iPhone 5, and I know someone who uses the newest Samsung Galaxy-whatever and while it boasts nice spec, the pictures I've seen look pretty mediocre at best, some less than that.
For iPhone I have a number of photo apps that I think of as required:
Most important:
Hueless
Huemore
ProCamera
Pro HDR
I don't use the stock camera app unless its just a quick snapshot.
