Double Bass Cello/Bass Duet?

I have a CD with Gary Karr and Barbara Thiem that I enjoy listening to. Don't ask me how challenging it would be since I'm a rank beginner.

Albert Roussel wrote a very nice short duet for cello and bass. As did Massenet.

Hey,
I'd definately recommend the Rossini, also, there is a Goltermann duo for cello and bass (Souviner De Bellini) that I am working on right now, which is great. There's another fantastic cello/bass duo... but I can't remember the name, so I'll get back to you on that!...
I've also done some Kumer Duets with a cellist... Not the most amazing music in the world, but some of it is fun..

All wrote very good duo's for bass and cello.

Go to ASODB.com and download the "Spirituals". It works beautifully with cello/bass or bass/bass. The best part is that it is FREE! Might as well download the bass solo right next to it. Enjoy!

The bass solo is an original composition and the duet is an original composition based on two familiar tunes.
