Double Bass Cello players string choice

I play both, and find that after being on bass for a while, cello feels like child's play. I have a bigger issue with the fat strings and the wider intervals on bass than with skinny strings. My current and pretty long-term favorites are Larsens, particularly their newer Magnacore, which I get in the "strong" tension because they suit my instrument really well. Frikken expensive, so I don't replace every 6 weeks like some of my colleagues. Also I wait till Shar or someone has a 20% off promotion and buy the whole set then, sometimes with an extra A string, because they degrade the fastest.

And just like with bass strings, there is fraud out there, so be sure you buy from a trusted source.
