Hello,
I've just purchased a second hand Warwick Thumb NT (old one) and it still has dunlop flush mount strap lock's.
However, the bass already almost fell on the floor twice because the whole strap lock system is pretty used. I don't trust that much those spheres on that kind of system. Maybe it's just because they're old (at least 2-3 years old). How often are those parts (with the spheres) should be replaced?
Another question, is it possible (and easy) to go from flush mount into dual dunlop design or schaller type? Does that mean I have to drill anyting on the horn and body of the bass? It seems that the screws don't have the same width...
I'd rather go for dual design, once they can be used just as normal strap buttons, just as schallers. Any suggestions?
thank you
