Changing the 4x10 with something powerful and smaller

Here's a monster Barefaced 212 cab that would do you nicely: Invalid Link Removed

Price, including delivery to Italy is around 980 Euros and I don't think you will ever need another cab again.

This compares very well with buying two top quality 210 cabs and it only weighs 18kg...!

I have a pair of fEARful 12/6 cabs and an amp with similar power to yours.

A single 12/6 covers most of my needs.
The pair have easily kept up with half stacks at war volume.

My 12/6s weigh under 40 lbs each and each is about the same size as most 210s.

This is an important point - as an example, the Peavey and GK 210 cabs linked above are all rated at 400W RMS which in reality means around 200W RMS per cab of real-world power before they will be on the limit.

Your amp can push double that RMS wattage at 4 ohms.

The fEarful and Barefaced cabs RMS rating is a truer rating - the BF Super Twelve can handle over 1000W RMS.

*shrug* There are some fine 210's out there, but there are lighter cabs, and more powerful cabs to be had in the same size/weight category.


Look at the 112-II and 212-II also. There are several guys successfully running these in pairs or combined for a 3x12.

the 312 route is fine if you pair a 4 Ohm 212 with an 8 Ohm 112, and your head is 2 Ohm stable. Since his has a minimum impedance load of 4 Ohms this wouldnt work. Two 8 Ohm 212's would be fine, but thats kind of missing the size weight restriction.
