Charles Berthoud

Just last week someone posted about his new Schecter bass with 2 videos. It was my first exposure, and I really enjoyed his music. Last week also someone posted about the Nova Twins, (more Brits) and I like their music! Great antidotes to "producer" made tracks with visually perfect vocalists doing repetitive nursery rhymes.

Dozens of new posts are made daily. Not everyone checks before posting about stuff posted before.

It’s fine, imo.
I see nothing wrong with making someone aware of the search function and/or encouraging them to use it.
Putting in at least a modicum of effort prior to posting is just a common courtesy that seems to have been on the decline here for a while.
At least the OP here took it upon himself to scan 10 pages and wasn't asking a basic question that's been answered here and elsewhere online hundreds (if not thousands) of times. Now if you'll excuse me, I see some clouds outside that need to be told off. 🤣

Back to Berthoud. The guy is obviously immensely talented and has put in the time. Also seems like a good hang. His playing (done for YT etc to make $...I get it) does nothing for me. I'd rather listen to a great part of a well written song (insert whatever that might be to you here) than pyrotechnics. YMMV....happy Sunday

I do like many of his one-off bass compositions. He has some great ones on piccolo bass in unstandard tuning. I tend to find a lot of his harmony pretty basic, but his technique is great and he has some catchy musical ideas. He strikes me as a modern day Stuart Hamm.

Charles Exercise routine.

Ive found this to be the best instruction he’s offered as it provides a specific series of exercises ( Albeit at a higher tempo than I’d start at) that will warm those hands up very well. If you can get thru the entire exercise ( it’s quite long) Your hands will likely feel stronger and more limber than they’ve ever felt.

No talking, just a long series of scales over a backing track. Give it a shot. Even if you perform a small portion of these exercises, you’ll benefit from it.

You now……he went to Berklee….
