Charton now has a hybrid bass (composite back, shoulders and lower bout, wood top), modeled on his B21. Interesting stuff, although there are some truly bizarre scrolls. No English version of the C21 pages yet.

I'm majorly intrigued. Looks like it's under the magic 50# weight limit. Looks like it might be oversize, though. He's a fabulous maker--- I'd bet that with the composite back and carved top it sounds great.

Since it appears that France's minimum wage is just under 9 euros, this bass will cost a Frenchman about 1100 hours of salary from minimum wage work.
