Charvel 1B?

Anyone know anything on these? I know Charvel made some great guitars in the 80s which were popular in the hair metal. But im not very familiar with their basses.

What is one of these worth? I have a chance to buy a black one with maple board. But I dont know if they are even worth trying out.

Figured I'd see if y'all knew anything about these before I waste time trying out a bass worth $75. Ha.

Thanks!

im sure some people here have probably played a wider variety of basses than i have, but i have played a couple p basses and a hh musicman
and ive played alot of junk too if the 1b in question is anything like mine its anything but junk and i would buy em all day long for 75$ especially with the maple fretboard:)&as mentioned on another post here about the 1b it seems like it was designed to play with a pick but thats my preference anyway good luck&every bass has its own personality.

I have a 1B with maple fretboard. Bought it new at Steve's Music (Toronto) in 1988 for $629 and was my first bass. No box, no case candy, no nothing. I remember walking down the street with it in a Yamaha box. I remember it as white, but now it's that 'yellowy' kinda colour even though I don't smoke. I like it and have no reason to part with it. For years I kept it in a gig bag until I finally bought a HSC for it two years ago...and yes...the headstock still is pointy !!!
