you're probably right, but tuners just don't make me feel good like they do some people. i figure that's money i could have spend on strings or a pedal that actually does something...or a meal for me and the wife at some fancy chain restaurant like Ruth's Chris that makes you feel like a big spender until you get to an independent fancy restaurant that's REALLY expensive.
