cheapest way to trigger midi (via drummer)

looking to do some bass drops. i have the gear to trigger them from my computer. letting them be IN a sampler would be a little better so we didnt have to run cables and whatnot.

couldnt seem to find a whole lot of decently priced products for this anywhere. it needs one sound and to be hit once. so long as its remotely close in response, it will do. old models.. something i could find on ebay. bad sampling rate.. doesnt matter. just a big sonic boom on command.

ideas?

Sounds like you just want to play back a sound?
DJ's do stuff like that.

Or just hook up your ipod
