Check out this bass, Dean Sledge Hammer

  1. What do you guys think of this?
It's kind of a Warwick/Stingray inspired cool deal. Looks kinda like a Fortress/Dolphin/Thumb/Stingray. I'm sure they'll be had for a good price, but would you consider it a rip-off? Or will the person playing it be a "poser" because he doesn't have a real Warwick?
I think it's pretty sweet myself!

Damn, that bass is really good looking! I wish Dean would upgrade their headstocks though! They'd get a lot more hits!

I agree, i know its not senseful to buy a bass because of its headstock but for some reason i really want a Kramer bass just for that slanted to hell headstock...

Looks like a Thumb knock off with a Musicman hummer.

  6. That's the general idea.

    I'd still buy one though.

Id buy one if it had a finish, just so it didnt look like SUCH a Warwick copy.

I'll see your Dean 5 and raise you 5 octave strings. ;)

Now that is giving me GAS, and at that list price it's affordable GAS as well.

LOL! It has a whole different vibe happening. It has a better growl factor than the MM5. Try to check one out.

Ooooh! A Warwick Thumb with the elusive ergonomics upgrade! :p

Looks nice! Definitely has GAS-making tendencies. So Woodchuck... where'd you get it, how much do they cost, and why have you not posted sound clips?!! :ninja:

    :p

I think its a slick looking bass. Even if it is a little Dolphin-esque. I wouldn't mind playing one but there isn't a store in my area that sells Deans.

Do a search for Bass and Treble music. He's been selling a lot of Dean stuff to the guys who populate the Dean boards.

Neck profile wasnt all that similiar to a Warwick. Good action. Wasnt setup all that good, (wasnt expecting it to be) but it felt good.
