Check this preamp out

Hughes and Kettner Bass Master, just bought it on the bay in uk. Preamp tube and power tube with a power soak so that you get a power valve saturation at line level signal ...cool. Has pa, line, instrument and speaker outputs!
Anyone tried these. Think they called BATT in US.
I'll get a pic up soon...

It's quite well known, and along with the other similar preamps the Cream master, crunch master s, blues maaster, metal master etc... several studios still covet them , and there is an online petition for H& K to re-release them. &K have done their sums and said there is not enough market demand for them to re-issue this range of products.

You didn't pay $400 USD did you? There was a seller in the UK offering it at that price.... way over priced, but of course if you have one you can offer it as high as the market will bear.

Yeah paid £208 but i think its still worth it. So many possibilties for recording and playing live with it. I was looking for decent preamp and could have payed alot more. I can even plug into a speaker and use it as a practice amp.
Maybe my days of gigging with heavy valve amps are over?
