I play a Warwick thumb with the MEC J/J pickups. I got a new EBS IQ pedal the other day. I noticed that I was having trouble getting the filters to engage, like the bass output was too low to trigger it or the pedal was screwed. I pulled out my old Fender and the pedal worked fine and there was a noticeable increase in my volume through the amp.
I almost always run the Warwick with the tone controls at the notch position so I'm not cutting or boosting anything. I did have to have the circuit board worked on recently as a pot was messing up and I didn't notice anything when I got it back. I was wondering if there is an easy way to test the output of the bass (ie "signal strength") besides just the fact that it sounds quieter.
I also changed the battery out with a new one.
