Checking out some local basses

Went to local Sam Ash and Guitar Center yesterday to try some basses. I should preface and state that I love P Basses and Rics the most.

Anyway, after hours of playing, two basses..the same in both store sounded and felt the best to me.

Fender Squier 60s Classic Vibe J bass

and

Geddy Lee J Bass

Loved them both to death.The Geddy Lee was definitely better construction. I still would not be unhappy with that Squier though. Anyone know how long they've made the Geddy's like this? Have they always been MIJ?

All Artist series are CIJ/MIJ for Fenders and have "always" been, with a few exceptions (like the Marcus Miller V).
