Cheesy greetings from Florida!

Hey TB peeps! So now that I know the water is good in the deep end. I’m just gonna dive in. And no worries, pics are included!
I’ve been playing bass for less than a year now. Before that, I’ve played percussion instruments for about 10 years. And from time to time, when we’re desperate, a drummer. The bass was pretty easy to pick up as far as rhythmically (go figure!). However, unlike percussion instruments, I had to learn how to read music to play. It took a good 2-3 months before I could actually play with our band on stage. I would bring my bass to band practice and “play” without plugging in. This helped tremendously with every aspect especially timing with the band. And if I hit the wrong note, no one noticed!
The pic of the blue Squire by Fender bass is what I started with. In the next pic, the orange Ibanez is what I’m playing with now.
Peace.
