Chevy HHR Anybody?

tplyons said:
Where do you get your info? The curb weight on that thing is only 3155 lbs. Sure, maybe it's a bit underpowerd, but I'm also checking out the upgraded motor with 172 hp. That's got a little more kick than a 4000 lb El Camino with 127. I'll be fine.

Edmunds.com... Here's a link for 'ya...

Well, I'm still holding off on the purchase... however, I'm aiming for the 2008-1/2 model year, when they're predicting a bunch of interior changes and fixes that people have been complaining about.

That and I have to get the Harley mostly paid off before I buy another vehicle.

I've got an '06 2LT HHR that I couldn't be happier with. Both back seats fold flat giving a surprising amout of hauling space. Plenty of room for my Tube Works combo amp, extension cabinet, bass, and other gear. With the front passenger seat folded down I carried an 8ft ladder one time.

Very comfortable and well laid out. The window controls are in an odd place but not hard to get used to. I think I have every option on mine except the sunroof, which I didn't want anyway. The XM radio, OnStar, and 6-speaker (and subwoofer) 260-watt Pioneer cd/radio with input for mp3 player is a nice touch, as is the remote start, leather interior, heaed seats, and side curtain airbags.

I'd definately buy another.

When has that EVER been positive?! The average driver doesn't make his money back from extended warranty repairs.

bc

Of course. If the driver even came close to getting his money back (on average), they'd stop selling them. Extended warranties are a marketing success though. Billions of dollars of profit are made every year selling extended warranties.

My 9 year-old calls them "PT Barnums." When asked why, he replies: " 'Cause there's a sucker born every minute, Dad." :p

I love my son. :D
You've got a witty son. Wonder where he gets it from.

Do you have a funny mailman? :D
Have you considered getting a stubby antenna from socallhhr.com?

The HHR is probably one of the ugliest cars I've seen produced in awhile..

Also, I will suggest you go check out other cars on the market, specifically Nissans. It wont hurt, I promise.
Different strokes for different folks. I hated it at first, and it grew on me instantly when I saw one in black the first time.

Oh, BTW, I learned to drive in a Nissan Pathfinder. Great car, but it's not a Chevy.
