CHICAGO - LAKLAND GTG!!!

I've lived in Chicago my entire life and haven't ever been to the factory. Why not come when you guys are?
What is the start time for this event and should we bring any refreshments?

Post No. 1 indicates that it starts at 1 pm and that "snacks and sodas will be provided". Post No. 23 indicates that it ends at 5 pm.
It couldn't hurt to bring something if you're so inclined.

UPDATE - DIRECT FROM DAN:
1) he would like you to bring in basses OTHER than laklands as well. He REALLY wants to compare some newer Sadowsky's MTDs, Callowhill, etc
2) also -he would like you to bring in your "top 5" bass sounds on Ipod or CD. (he has a system to play these through) and he would like to discuss:
a) why the sound is so good?
b) what are we hearing?
c) what can we do to get that sound?

Lakland is located in a very industrial area....It may look like you are in the "wrong place" but you are not...
the factory is located on the second floor of Dan's father's tire recycling business.
I suggest looking it up on Google or Yahoo (and get a "birdseye view") before you go....just to make sure...

+1. Do print out directions.
Here's my best stab at it. The address is 2044 N. Dominick St--definitely plug it into a Mapquest-type site and print out directions. The nearest major intersection is Southport (1400 West) and Clybourne (a diagonal street). From there, go south on Southport (past the car wash place), pass the first industrial-park entrance on the right, and just after Southport curves, take the next industrial-park entrance on the right. Drive straight and you'll come right to the two-story brick building that says "A. Lakin and Sons" at the top. Go in the glass door of the main entrance, come up the stairs and through the door, then take a left.
