Child proof jack solutions?

Got a toddler. He's fascinated with the input jack on my amp. Hasn't put any crayons in it yet, but he messes with it a lot, shoving the cable in and out, and I expect further experiments are inevitable.

Is there any accessory or any common strategy for protecting one's input and output jacks from kids?

(kiddo recently figured all the door locks, and pulls those power outlet covers out of the outlets pretty easily. I'm sceptical that any solution will last long, but it's worth a shot)

I've used earplugs to plug a pedal jack for painting, it would keep things out and be difficult for a toddler to get out, but it's not super convenient, I had to use a pick to get them out. I've seen dummy silicone plugs used before but I don't think it would serve its purpose if the kid is taking out wall plugs.

Play the Funny Farm song for him: "I really like this jacket, but the sleeves are much too long"

For a while I just played with a headphone amp, and kept it in the closet. When he was really little I couldn’t make much noise in the house anyways (cause practice time was LATE!) :roflmao:

And when he was about 3 I got a cheap Rumble 25 to leave out for home jamming, so I wouldn’t really care if anything happened (nothing e’er did) and kept the “good” amps away.

Enjoy, Daddio! :D

Maybe just turn the amp to face the wall when not in use, assuming it’s big enough for him to be unable to move it back.
Mine knocked over my upright, $1000 for a new neck
But curiosity is to be encouraged!
Enjoy it while you can.
