Why eat chili... when i could eat a chili dog?

I live in New Mexico, home of the world's tastiest chiles! In fact, my home state (for now) has an official state question which is, "Red or green?".

I won't have the "chili" most people would eat, but I will look forward to a nice piping hot bowl of green chile stew!

Meh, I think you were grand as it was. Most of ye live in the same time zone, give or take a few hours, no point in changing it to suit the Euros/Aussies. Why not just have a Chili Day, where one can eat chili all day and post about it through out?

Mmmmm, chili. My favorite.

I had some yesterday as well, and I am sure I will again this week.

I LOVE a cup of chili and toasted cheese sandwich combo. THAT is a great lunch.

None of that wimpy stuff either. give it some kick and good quality steak.

My Wife makes a fantastic 5 alarm / 4 beer chili in a big crock pot once or twice a year... lasts all week, as does the malodor in the air. Dutch oven time!

Maybe that's why she makes it so seldom...

I'm in, but uh I don't know how to make chili so I'm gonna have to order some kind of carry out chili...where could one get such an item?

Applebees makes some pretty tangy steak chili. I'd get that over the Wendy's bunk...but it'll do in a pinch.

now the BK chili....that stuff is the absolute worst.

Honestly, hormel vegetarian chili, for a buck a can, is pretty tasty.

I'll play along too. Mainly because this thread just reminded me that I haven't had chili in quite awhile, and now I want it. I'll have to do it early in the day, though, as I have to gig that night. My bandmates are gonna hate me Saturday night..............

Saturday is going to be insane this week. Fortunately, I'll have time to pick up and enjoy a steamy bowl of goodness on my way back from NYC. Not only do I get to pick up my new upright, but I get chili too. Doesn't get much better than that.

Yesterday I had chili twice!

Actually I had the Mexican version(s). I had chile con carne for lunch, and green chile stew for dinner. The chile con carne was cubed beef simmered in red chile sauce (also had an enchilada, chile relleno, and taco). The chile stew is magnificent, though the place I got it from didn'[t have magnificent stew, I probably should have made it myself.

Kind of mild around 3 alarm. The ulcer can't take too many spices.

bummer im too late. at least i served a lot of chili at work last night.

after work i saw Red Team Go play at the Flamingo Cantia. it was an awesome show. Red Team Go rocks!!
