Chipotle

Chipotle is the Foo Fighters of Mexican food.

My own experience with Chipotle started off great. The Barbacoa tacos were the bomb the first half-dozen times I had them. But the last couple of times were terrible. Not only had the price gone up each time but the meat was nothing but fat and gristle. Seriously, I'd take one bite and all the meat would pull out of the shell as one large piece of gristle. Grossed me out so badly I've never gone back.

I avoid fast food as best I can, I find it nearly always somewhere between bland and disgusting, and overpriced.

The couple of times I have had Chipotle it's been OK as fast food goes, but the pricing is absurd.

I'd rather spend three/four dollars at taco hell and be done with it.

I like Chipolte, especially the amount of food you get, but unfortunately the nearest one is over a hundred miles away. Matter of fact, my wife and I were in Nebraska all last week to take our calves to auction, and picked up Chipolte on our way back home.

I really like Chipotle. The one near me stopped offering corn tortillas, though. Since I'm not a burrito guy (they're ok, but they aren't tacos), that pretty much killed it for me. For the price of three tacos vs one burrito, I was able to get almost twice as much food and confound and infuriate the staff by having them add pretty much everything available to them. They hated me there. Maybe that's why they stopped offering the corn tortillas?

What does that mean?

Not nearly the best or most exciting at what they are, but somehow mildly charming and always consistent? I don't know.
