Paging @slobake - exalted ruler over all things burrito. I think he would be seen playing a kazoo before being seen in a Chipoltes.

Yup. I got desperate a couple of months ago and went there against my better judgement. When the pimply kid behind the counter asked me what else I wanted on the burrito I said, "salsa picante" He replied "Wait ... what?"
BTW I kind of like playing a kazoo.

I think I like Baja Fresh a little more but I had Chipotle the other day for the first time in awhile and thought it was pretty good, chicken was nicely grilled, guacamole was solid, and I honestly liked their queso...

I just remember when Chipolte had to close down all its locations due to health concerns. Would have a hard time getting over that.

Ate there once. Over priced ( 14 bones for a burrito?!? ) The "salsa" was inferior to some store bought jar brands. The amount of meat to rice and beans was WAY out of wack. I'll never go back. The taste was meh.

Wow! I remember it being pricey but I'm talking $8-$9 for a burrito. That sucker better have lobster for $14!

Why must we always look at it in the harshest light? If it’s good, it’s good.

I’ve had the same argument about American lagers like Budweiser or Miller High Life. Are they the best beers ever produced (a subjective opinion if ever there was one?) Maybe not, but they can be quite pleasant and refreshing.

I was far from harsh in my judgment, and I am capable of evaluating the relative merits of a product. Relative to other fast food chains, Chipolte is good. Relative to an authentic taqueria, Chipolte is mediocre at best.
