Choosing between Yamaha's

Hello there,

i've got an proposition of exchanging my Yamaha BB-415 for Yamaha RBX374. I specifically told that i want to change from 5 string bass to 4 string bass.

I play funk rock, rock something of this kind so i need some good slap bass.

I've beend wondering if that will be a good trade ? The guy told me that he can give me around 90$ to his RBX.

In my honest opinion (IMHO) the BB415 is a higher quality instrument than the RBX374 and you'd be going backwards value and quality wise.

BB415's sell here USED for around $330.

A RBX374 can be bought NEW for $300 and then you take the immediate depreciation hit.

+1
I think you got some good advice here. Yamaha makes some very good stuff. On the less costly side I would certainly stick with the BB. IF you going UP; go with a Japanese made higher end 4 string. If you won't have the money for a Signature you might play a Billy Sheehan & see if you like it as a 4 string. But the RBX374 is loosing money.
