I know I can be a bit picky, but only to show that a unique definition is needed for correct understanding. A lot of hot and unfruitful discussions can be avoided if everybody were precise and clear.
BTW, I have never heard of MinorMajor before and only found Jazz minor in the Aebersold definitions. But I‘m coming from classical music theory and don‘t have English as my native language.
But I even haven’t found MinorMajor in my intense research of scale names.
So I tend to use well known names or names that describe the scale in some way. Specially because there are many names for a single scale and we cannot know every one. (What is well known might vary geographically or by school.)
Your example shows seventh chords in the scale of melodic minor. These are simply seventh chords, pedal or not.
If you meant hold the pedal and play one chord after the other and let all ring, then you get the sound of the first mode of melodic minor (since the lowest note is the root). If you meant that, you didn‘t describe it precisely enough so that everybody (including me) exactly knows what you meant.
It is only human to oversee that a description is not precise enough to avoid misunderstandings, it happens to me more often than I like, but for a good communication precision is needed.
I just try to show once in a while if I see imprecise definitions that they lead to misunderstandings and should be avoided.
Some try it better next time, others may think f*** off. Choose your party…
