Chord program

A friend of mine who plays guitar told me of a program where I can enter cords in (guitar, piano, whatever) and I can play along with my bass. I havent been playing for very long and would like to find this. He said it was somewhere on this site, but for the life of me I cant find it.

Any ideas?
