Also, I can tell this cab rocks hard and punches like a MMA contender with an attitude, but with a change in right hand technique and playing closer to the neck can it put out a nice round tone more suitable for country or blues?

I am currently running a DrBass 2460 with ceramic drivers with a 112 sub. I am looking to downsize. The slant back looks awesome and functional. Have you tested out the other drivers as of yet?? The eminence? Also what would be the tonal difference from what I am running now?? Thanks. I've been eying a fearful, simplex, and the 1212. Not decided. I once built a pair of tuba 24's with the hl10c drivers. OMG!! I also play a 5 string.

I have no idea how they would compare. The deltalite drivers sounded good bit, the Beymas are alo t more burley down low. I'm going to sell my slant cab. It's Awsome and came out exactly as I had hoped but, I'm a well known sealed cab guy and my gear collection is too big. I plan to sell my sealed 156 cabs too. Probably all local if possible.
Hey Chris, How does it compare to the Bag End stack that I see you STILL HAVE?
The 212 has a fatter bottom that is still very controlled. With the tweet off, the bags are a bit brighter and upper mid aggressive bit, the slant can be eq'd to sound similar. The beyma's are a bit more clean than the bags. Dispersion is much better with the slant and it's tilted baffle really gets the sound where it can be heard.
Finally did get a chance to test the 212 slant cab. WOW!! For a 212 cab of this compact size it gets ridiculously loud!! I compered to my DrBass Stack consisting of the 2460 2x12, 6'' mid, hf horn with a 112lf cab. The Slant definately gets the sound where you need it. ''Up at you"!! Keep in mind I am comparing to a stack of 3 ceramic 12's with a mid driver. pushing them with a bridged Carvin BX1500. With the slant 212 cab the mids are very focused, low mids very clean and not cluttered. I kept turning up the happy knob "aka volume" and it was ripping my face off. A real beast when you start pushing it around LOL!! Without touching knobs and just switching out cabs the DrBass stack was a little warmer and a little deeper, with the horn off and Mid driver at 30%. The Slant was a little more aggressive in the low mid to upper mid region. Very in your face!! I rolled a little more bass in on my Lebass pre pedal and the Slant handled it with ease. I will say again, I don't think I would ever have the need for a louder or larger cab. I will try to get a video up soon. The hf driver on the slant added some nice zing for slap style. A little went a long way. The Beyma's really cover the spectrum well. Only went up around maybe 3 on the attenuator.
That's awsome! I prefer using full range drivers instead of miss and tweets because, that more in your face, less smooth midrange really cuts through at a gig. The tighter bottom keeps the room sound less cluttered too! The slant definitely likes to be pushed.
You are absolutely correct sir. Where I have to tweak and roll off bass, and boost mid driver on my Drbass set up to cut through, the slant 212 already nails it.

There are flat packs for these via speaker hardware?
Cause I have a pair of deltalite 2512 laying here doing nothing.

I did a video with the deltalite drivers. They sounded good, but the beyma's have a more firm bottom. 2512's are brighter and more "neo".

I built a cab inspired by Chris's slant back with a pair of Deltalite 2512s and love it . I built it after hearing the video Chris did . Give it a listen .
This cab is tempting my DIY jones.
Of course, since I'm not one to leave well enough alone, I'm wondering if one of the upper ports could be used for a small mid driver, with a corresponding lengthening of the bottom ports...
But at that point, I might as well design something of my own
