chris larkin club

yeah but there are no new pictures:help::crying:

There are only new pics when I finish something that I think is worth putting up on the site. I work alone and everything is hand made so there are not so many instruments finished each year and, although I think they are all special, sometimes they are so similar to things I made before that I don't bother to put them up. A lot of the new postings on the site are from owners after they send me pics for the Gallery of Players.

In 1993 I ordered two custom basses one from Conklin and one from Chris. Even though the Conklin was very nice I liked Chris's bass even better, and from that point I've never really looked back. Chris has made me a lot of basses the years that has passed and has always been a pleasure to work with. These days my main basses are the two that I'm posting pictures of now. All the basses is good, but these days I prefer headless so...

Nice basses Freddy. That 9 string looks like a handfull! What kind of weight is it? What are the scale lengths? Would you play a lot of tapping or fingerstyle on it? How do the low strings track via the midi? Sorry about all the questions, just curious:)

Cheers, John

Hi John, I'm not sure about the weight, but I don't think it's heavy. (It's not that big either). The scale length is 35-32. I never tap, but I play fingerstyle, slap and all the other usual stuff, but try to add a bit of flavour by combining different techniques.
