CHUCK RAINEY SLAYING WITH THE CRUSADERS!

There a lot of killer unknown bassists on those Midnight Specials backing other artists, The.bassist with the Mark-Almond band is tearing it up on that show.

ooh, now I have to check out that whole video. Pretty sure this was right about the time Roberto Petaccia was playing drums with Mark-Almond (and Roberto was an absolute badass, a peer of Steve Smith, Tommy Campbell, and a few other totally badass drummers that passed through Berklee in the mid-1970s), and if Roberto's in the band then there's a (very) slim chance I might recognize the bass player too!

EDIT: Nevermind, I just watched the Mark-Almond segment, that's definitely not Roberto, and I have no idea who the bass player is!

Mark-Almond always seemed to have a good band. Back in the day their song The City was called at a lot of jams, along with Donny Hathaway's The Ghetto, killer two chord grooves.😎
