I just let go of my MIA 75 reissue Jazz bass in CAR. I was sad to see it go (i'll post pics soon) because I will probably never find something like it again (mia fender wise). BUT I have seen some really nice cij jazz basses on the net. Since I live in Canada I dont want to pay shipping from japan obviously, but if anyone knows of something locally that would be nice. Also some information about the cij jazz basses would be nice, playability, sound, looks w/e. OR I have been looking into some Sadowsky products but again, wouldnt know where to get them locally and I dont really want to spend 2800+. Thanks for any help, apologize in advance if there is already a thread on this, couldnt find it in the search.

Why in the name of jebus did you sell a FSR Jazz...for a made in Japan one? I have owned two japanese J-basses, one was very good, the other was very bad, just like most basses. Neither of them were as good as their American counterparts

Grass is always greener I guess...

I found it just wasn't me. As much as I loved it, at times it was a love/hate relationship. So I haven't bought a cij jazz bass yet, I was just looking into it.

I have a OLB CIJ 75 RI with matching headstock, alder body and rosewood neck. It's great and worth every penny. Now I became the Lakland distributor of my country, so I am selling all non-Lakland instruments, but this blue J used to be my premiere bass. Here's the pic:

These are very well crafted, sweet instruments, it has US vintage pickups, the sound is as good as a US Fender, qualitywise, well, I dare to say it's better!

Just recently picked up this lefty jazz from a site in Japan. I highly doubt you will find any new CIJ Fenders being sold. However, I think these instruments are top notch, especially the '75 Reissues. I've had two sar far and they were both amazing. Here the pics of the ones I've had...

In my humble opinion you are going to have a hard time finding used or new cij basses in Canada except for the Geddy. I also think that it would probably end up cheaper to buy from Japan than in Canada.

  10. I have two CIJ Fenders. A Marcus Miller and a 63' ri fretless. I love them both.

I wish I had better pictures, I realized that a lot of them turned out blurry, but I was able to recover some good ones. Even more beautiful in person.
