CIJ=MIJ when the serial numbers became a new style they switched to "Crafted in Japan"
now back to MIJ

some say Mij are better.. i have a 06 CIJ and a 94 MIJ and i parted out the MIJ.. ive also had 2 mias and they were only on par with the CIJ.. in terms of quaility and value japan fenders are the best deal i find.. ya cant go wrong with either.. never came across a bad one to be honest.. 15 on ebay right now.. id go mij just for values sake

hmm there was a thread awhile back here
when somebody saw a 98 Jazz with MIJ when they switched factories
I could be wrong
I cant find the thread again but it had to do with an eBay search
