Sorry I didn't make it.

I got to bed about 3:00 AM after a gig...

Good enough excuse. You are pardoned. FWIW, I didn't make it either for the same reason.

I mean no offense but I have to call lame. I was at work until 4:30 and didn't get to bed until 6:00. :D

Sorry, I had to give ya a hard way to go. I was a virgin and excited to check it out.

We had a swell time. some new faces and some of the usual suspects. Nice basses and agreat assortmant of amps.

Kudos to Ed for doing the heavy lifting and bringing the full monte 2000S rig with TWO cabs. What a glorious sound! Also the Reeves 400 (the JBLs in the Sunn cabs were crying for mercy), a kustom 200 tuck&roll, B15 and an ancient 40watt Sunn that killed with 2 EL24s...plus an honest-to-god vintage Hiwatt 400 showed up, bergantino cabs, a '62 bassman, etc etc.

Glad we could do it again.

I'd never played through 4 JBL 15"s - holy crap!

Good time for sure. Great seeing everybody.

Ed really went all out. Can't believe and really appreciated that he brought so much. Sorry I wasn't around the help him move it all back out.

Those 4 15's and the Reeves head were crazy!

Loved pushing that Hiwatt so hard. Sounded great through the Avatar TB 153's.

Sorry the Ibanez/Chris Squire Rick trade didn't work out... :bawl:

You're so insensitive!:(

Let me know if you ever want some knobs for your Combo. I have some that would fit, they're free and I'll probably never use them.

Ya know.... this isn't the first time I've been called insensitive. :D Maybe it's my brash and twisted sense of humor?

Thanks for the thought and offer on the knobs. I may just take you up on that. It's not like I'm gigging or even jammin' with anyone, though. That combo usually just sits in my closet as it's too loud to use in my apartment.

yes, i am lame. i admit it freely ...

but the first truly nice day of the year, and i took the girls to get burgers from the hamburger wagon, and then grocery shopping turned into a 3 hour fiasco ... by the time we got home it was 3:30 and i didnt want to drive down to sharonville for a half hour.

I did bust the ibby out and play for a while as i smoked chicken thighs on the back patio ... i <3 mesquite. it's my new favorite wood.

Speaking of Ed's heavy lifting, here's a couple pics I snapped with my cell phone.

You probably had the most interesting bass at the GTG. :D

Yep, this was a great time. Got to meet a bunch of cool tb'ers, play some cool basses and hear some great rigs. Big thanks to Bob for getting it set up. I hope it happens again next year.

That monster Sunn rig was truly something to hear, as was the Reeves. I was very impressed with the Genz stuff, too.

As far as the basses go, I am totally GAS'ing for a Chris Squire ric. I was really impressed with the ATK, too. The Dingwall was amazing, I couldn't believe how easy and natural it felt to play a fanned fret bass.

Your Roscoe Beck was really sweet. Glad I finally got to play one. So was your Ric.

Indeed. We should form a Committee Forming Committee to form a Planning Committee to create a plan for the Committee Forming Committee, so that an Event Coordination Committee can properly formed.
