Cirrus strings

so who actually makes the Peavey Cirrus bass strings. I've never had anything last this long. I'm lovin em...

Are those still around? I used to use them in the late 90s/early 00s and liked them a lot, but haven't seen them available in years.

I have two set of the 5 string package unused (so far). But I have noticed that Peavey ships the current Cirrus with DR Dragonskin now. Have any of you tried these strings. It seems to be coated stainless.

Wait a minute. I have noticed that Peavey still have the Cirrus strings (e.g. Invalid Link Removed) and it is read that "XL strings are standard on the Cirrus™ Bass (35 inch scale)" even that it says that the Cirrus bass "Ships with DR Dragonskin strings".

You can still buy Cirrus strings; they're described as "Nickel" strings. One of my minor pet peeves is calling what are probably NPS strings "Nickel."
They also offer stainless steel strings; not the Cirrus label.

Has anyone compared both of the strings DR Dragonskin stainless and the Peavey Nickel strings on their Cirrus bass? I have only used the original Peavey Nickel strings on my Cirrus.
