Classic Vibe p bass

I was thinking of getting SPB-3 Seymour Duncan pickups for my classic vibe p bass theres nothing wrong with the stock pickups i just want something different. Will it change the tone at all? or are the stock pick ups better?

Well, it will certainly be different. However, if you like the current pickup, why change it? There is no guarantees you will like the SPB-3's any better. Why fix what ain't broke?

It won't sound vintage but if that's what you want give it a try. You can always sell the pickup on TB if it doesn't suit you.
