Classic Vibe P or Vintage V4?

I would buy a Vintage bass over a Squier any day. If you dig around and read about Trev Wilkinson who is head of production and a renowned pickup designer, I think you’ll find you will have a better constructed instrument with better hardware and pickups. Internally you may want to switch out the pots and find the capacitor you like best.
You could then look at the FretKing line. They are a bit more expensive and more delux overall. Also designed by Trev Wilkinson.

I'd like to know an actual fact-based opinion in the Vintage V4 Vs Squier Classic 60's Vibe P-bass. No fanboying, just facts please. I'm considering which one to buy and I want good quality that doesn't break my bank account.
I own a few CV basses and played a Vintage V74 at a local music shop. The Vintage was every bit as nice as the Squiers. Build quality was very good, neck was super comfy and I personally think the pickups sounded much nicer. I only spent about an hour with it, but I was impressed.

hadn't seen it. Well PaleAngel, I'm no fanboy of anything. And I have come to know that there is no such thing as a "best" anything. My comment was based on personal experience with a Squier fretless J I had, and an older Vintage J I had, and a few other Squiers I'd played in stores (The Fiesta Red Classic Vibe P bass is one I really wished I had bought when I had the chance from my local-its a kick ass bass!). But between the J basses above and my snotty brand verdict comment your snotty reply was for... the fact that the Vintage instrument, IMHO, was a better feel, more solid build and its tone was back on. I bit heavy, if capable. Just my hands feel what they feel, and that's the solid fact I go by. But its only my 'fact', no one else. All the best Bass Hunting, you'll feel what's best for you.
And these days I would easily go with a REVELATION instrument over both Squier or Vintage. And I did, an RJB-67. Cheers!
