ive got a upright and i really want to learn arco & cant find any teachers in memphis tn. if anyone knows of any please pass there info my way. thanks guys

Ask for a referral from each of these, and start talking with the instructors that you may find from there:

They don't all have instructors for classical instruments, the idea is to network, find instructors through the grapevine, and ask for referrals.
IMO, you can collect names, and talk to some people that teach and see who's a good fit. Grabbing the first instructor for hire that comes along is not always the best approach.

My first call would be to the Memphis Symphony. Tell them you're looking for a teacher and ask for the names of their bass players. Start with the principal. Maybe he or she also teaches at a local university. Get serious and make the calls!
