Double Bass classicalstrings VB070 hybrid?

Anybody familiar with this instrument? I can't find much info on it, here's their website:

I found one for sale, wondering if it might actually be a decent instrument. I won't be able to try it out until next weekend but thought I would ask for some advice here first...

I would get a Shen

Yeah, I already know this instrument is lower quality than a Shen. If anybody around me was selling a used Shen hybrid, that would be great. But, I'm on a budget and if I can get a decent hybrid instrument at a lower cost than a Shen plywood bass... Is it worth considering?
