Classified ads from sponsors outdated?

So, I understand having sponsored ads promoted, but there are a LOT of them that are very, very old. Are they just being added automatically or is someone pushing ads from eight years ago forward?

The featured block pulls open ads randomly. It looks like there is some pruning to be done in that category. I’ll get that done. Thanks for the report!
