I’m thinking about moving to a Grace Pre to go with my cabs Genzler 12-3 8 ohm or MAS 2-8 4 ohm. Anyone using a power amp instead of powered speakers for preamp? Thoughts on how clean Jules M Series, Baby or GSS Summo, Demeter Minne 800, other?

I haven't used the other options but I've been happy with the GSS monster sumo. There is a tiny amount of noise and a little quiet blip sometimes on power down but overall it sounds great with the Grace Felix. I considered all the options when I was looking for a power amp and I have had zero regrets going with the GSS.

Well as with all things, you can never have enough headroom. :) The advantage of the Monique power amp is that
it has been engineered with great care to produce whatever wattage it’s rated at across a wide frequency range. So, IME
I’ve only gigged with the M700 and it has exceptional headroom, frequency response, efficiency, cooling capacity, and is designed to provide many years of service. I would expect the Simone to do the same, but I have no direct experience with
It. ;)

When I said some tiny noise I mean, it is very slight, like barely audible. I would never mic my speaker cabinet but I could 100% mic the cabinet without issue. It is also no more or less noise than my beloved Walter Woods.
