Cleaning off adhesive gunk = WD-40

I usually try to remove as much of the old adhesive as I can with my bare fingers, I don't mind a little manual labor.

I'm not a fan of using anything with lots of petrochemicals when a less toxic solution can be found, so I usually start with isopropyl alcohol. If that doesn't cut the goo, mineral spirits or goo gone are next in line.

WD-40 is not petrochemicals. It is vegetable based.

Its loaded with petrochemicals.

I stand corrected. Looks like I was a victim of an urban legend that isn't correct. I had read on the whirledwildweb it was fish oil based.

Actually if you go to the WD-40 site they have a FAQ page where myths about WD-40 are refuted.

One is that WD-40 Cures Arthritis. Idiocracy in the making.
