Cleaning strings with WD-40!

Maybe this might be a better option
Invalid Link Removed
...Or the Ernie Ball string wipes.

We used to use Tabasco sauce, on our aircraft carrier, to clean the copper drains (with a wire brush).
It seemed odd, but it would really shine them up. :roflmao:

Another quick story; My favorite thing to dress my fretboard, on my upright bass, is sandalwood oil. I acquired a 40 year old, aged Mysore India sandal oil years ago. The scent was heavenly (because it was aged). Worked nicely too, and If I recall, this was one of my first TB posts almost 15 years ago!

I use WD-40 for what it was originally intended for - and my Atlas missile is still in perfect shape!
Seriously, though; I use it as a water dispersant/light lubricant. It does work well as a "light duty" lubricant for seized nuts/bolts - although "Kroil" works much better (but kinda smells bad). But, that whole litany of uses for the stuff? Nah; I use other stuff for 95% of those tasks... Besides; TBH? I don't much care for how WD-40 smells, either...
