Cliff Burton Rickenbacker Wiring

I just looked on Mouser.com & they only have two versions of a push/pull 500K Ohm linear taper pot & both of them are Metric (6mm shafts).
So if you want to get linear taper (better for blending in this setup, IMHO) volume pots, you might want to move the push/pull to one of the treble cut pots.

If you're fine with audio taper volumes, nevermind, but...
with audio taper volume pots the volume drops off pretty fast.

Here's a comparison:

When wiring the pickup to the center lug it makes the taper act backwards, so you get a steep roll-off (right-hand side of graph).
With a linear taper pot, being reversed makes no difference.
Hey would this work on a 4003 ric?IMG20200511163724.jpgIMG20200511163724.jpg

The only thing I can add is that a company called MOJO has CTS make hybrid taper pots that split the difference in the considerations discussed above. These might work for some of the details KBD suggests.

do yall have any information or pic how cliff modded his Morley ? looking for a picture of the inside cover aswell as if he did something to the curtain and the angel of the light diode xyz these are all mechanical adjustment

I'm not too sure man. I know that Jason added a piece of card when he inherited it, but you should just play around a little bit with the ldr until you get the sound you like.

Quite the drastic difference between these too, can someone tell me which one I should follow?
Im going to do a diy rickenbacker, and want to have the wiring that cliff did. Also do I wire together all of the pieces that say GND? Thanks and best regards.

How'd it turn out? Which schematic did you use (I think the 2nd one is the OP's final)? How does the push pull work with the strat pickup? Does it bypass the bridge pickup? I'm also wondering why you'd want a 3 way switch for the pickups when you have separate volume knobs.

I'm waiting for a neck through I custom ordered through Guitar Town Store on AliExpress (recommended by a Chickenbacker group). I'll need to route the body for an AllParts Rickenbacker bridge so I can fit the strat pickup. It's a Fender 34" scale neck, so the bridge will be 3/4" up from the bottom of the body, but the extra frets are a bonus. I'm also not looking to drop the $$$ to customize an actual Burgundyglo Ric.
