No doubt. That has a pristine look...could work with a couple of different pickguards as well.
Yeah I've tried a couple other PGs on it but I like it as pure as it gets. AC also offers a tinted neck and fret board wood. It would be cool to get them tinted white.
Hey guys, anyone using a 212 cabinet they care to recommend? I'd like to experiment a little with one. I figure that a 210 likely has a little more definition and kick, while a 212 would provide a rounder and weightier sound that my KPB5 would enjoy. Thoughts? What are y'all using? Anyone prefer certain cabs with certain basses?
Let me ask a question of y'all, fellow A-C brethern and sistern, that I think is not as inappropriate to this thread as it may first appear. I've been looking at the Birdsong thread and some that are similar, and I know it's all entirely subjective (or do I? Yeah, sure I do! 
), and I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but those instruments seem to me not to be built for players or for playing...they seem to be for hanging on the wall or for going in glass cases (or for serving coffee and little cakes on ). Do any of you have experience with Birdsong basses or something equivalently ornate and impractical looking? How do they sound/feel to an A-C fan such as yourself, that is, someone who like me believes that a bass is a machine for making music with...a beautiful machine, hopefully -- my LG-5 is like a sculpture -- but not a gewgaw or a trinket? What top-notch players play instruments of the Birdsong ilk? Note: This is not intended to be a troll...that's why I'm posting it here. If they're great instruments, I'd like to know, and I'll adjust my prejudices accordingly. Thanks.

Just wanted to mention that I experienced one of these instruments for the first time over the weekend, and I was really impressed. I connected with Darryl Anders at a local store. He's got a five string and it sounds terrific. Of course, he's a monster player and would sound great on anything, but I really dug the tone - very pronounced lower mids and plenty of punch. He played through an Aggie 750 and 112, and the meeting between retro and modern was awesome.
My time on the axe was very enjoyable - well balanced, very even sonically, great B string, and those lower mids just cut and cut.

Hey George. My preferred rig is 2 Aguilar 112's or one 212 for my AC's. I really like the way the 12's hold the low end on the Coppolo B string. IMO, the 12's are deep and yet retain the right amount of punch. When I use backline, i request the 412 cab and feel that it is the perfect cab for a Coppolo bass in a large venue. As a matter of fact, I just bought a DB210 a few months ago for a change of pace. I used it once and hated it because it just wasn't phat enough. As a result, it's been living in my closet ever since and is up for sale.
The best 2x12 cab I have ever played was the Accugroove Whappo Jr. I was REALLY stupid and sold it.... and bought another Accugroove later!

What are we driving those 212 cabs with?
Right now, I'm using either one or two Berg HS210 cabs with my Genz GBE 750. I use this with the RA and love it. A single HS210 is also very nice with my Fender Bassman 50 and Rob Allen MB2 for jazz trio work. I'm still trying to figure out the LG fretless, so let's leave it out of the conversation for the moment, but do either of you guys think a Berg 112 under a 210 will add the desired depth for the KPB?

I'm driving my rig with an Aguilar AG 500.
I think the Berg with the 210 would help.
Only one way to be sure ... let me know what you think after you've tried it.
What strings are you LG owners using? I dig the AC strings, especially after I changed to D'Addarios and didn't like them as much as the AC's. Any other suggestions?

I went with a matching headstock and a parchment guard (you can see it to the right in the pic). I considered tort, but after seeing this...
I felt parchment was the way to go.
Yep, that's a classic look alright
. I did buy a w/b/w p/g to try on my Fender and it looked good, only it had 13 holes and my tort one had 10 (in mostly different locations), so I didn't want to drill more holes into a brand new bass 
.Anyway, AJ, I'm sure that's going to become one of my fave A.C.s, once it's done
