Pre-News Update:
I needed a minor adjustment on my Mc Neely and was driving to Orlando for a business conference last night. So Cliff had me stop by on the way for the five minute adjustment. I saw three of the four basses currently in production. (I asked him to hide mine so I'm fully surprised when I receive it). The three necks I saw are beautiful!
It's been a pleasure to work with Cliff, and we all know his work is second to none.

I'm really digging SIT Silencers at the moment, up until recently I pretty much used DR Nickels, Sunbeams or Lo Riders, on everything.

when I'm broke....a new set of EB super slinky 5's always sound good. Punchy and bright when brand new.
Not counting TI flats, I'm a big fan of Sadowsky's Blue Label strings and Ken Smith's Compressors. I'll be requesting the Sadowsky Blue on my next build.
I've used DR Lowriders on my Roscoes, but they are 35" scale. I'm not sure about the 32" scale except for what you put on it.
I don't mind the DR strings. I use Curt Mangans on my 32" scale 7 string. Will be using TI Jazz flats on the next CB.

For the sounds differences I have an opinion, but I am going to do a swap between the two to on the same bass to get a true comparison.

Tell us what you think for sure, but the general consensus so far from what I've read, which seems to reflect my own experiences (though not scientific as what you're about to do) is that the lighter bridge should be punchier... a bit less compressed, with a little less sustain. Heavier/denser, the opposite, of course.
Personally, I kinda' prefer the tone of the heavier bridge, but I haven't swapped mine out, either. I might try it, but honestly, the bass sounds so damn good as it is, it's not a front-burner thing.
OK may be you are all biased cause we are on the Bordwell thread. I have a chance to buy a Bordwell "P" It looks awesome, and it's a Bordwell. (#2 for me!) but, I would have to give up my coveted SKB 3005.....
Would you do it? After all, it's a Bordwell but it's still a passive P. The Roscoe is KILLER but there are lots of Roscoes out there.
Any body played a p style Bordwell? Does it kill everything in sight?

I did a massive thread on this once. All the contributors agreed there was a difference but it was small and there was no consensus for which was better.
I personally don't believe in high-mass bridges. It's important that the bridge is fixed but it's function is to translate string vibration into the bass body. Mass doesn't come into this.
