That's actually a Marcus Miller tune called Maputo from David Sanborn and Bob James' album Double Vision.

I transcribed that tune a little while back and it's in Marcus new transcription book.

Wow! You are totally right! My bad.

I'm trying to think of how I messed that up and all I can think of is if I were still listening to albums on CDs, I probably wouldn't have.

But after listening to everything now in playlist form, I think I can lose track over time what album, and even what artist I'm listening to.

I did it AGAIN!

Okay, in my defense, I got food poisoning and threw up very severely and damaged my eyes, ears and throat. In fact, my left eye is still partially swollen shut and I'm seeing doctorS about it.

Not that this CAUSED my goof ups, but I thought if y'all felt sorry for me, you'd be easier on me!

Anyway, I'm going to have an early night tonight. I think that would be best all things considered.

Even with the less than energetic playing, it reminds me that the BN5 has a killer slap tone.

Mm.... loved the clip, although I do have mixed feelings about it as well.

From the comments section of the clip:

So I can admire the playing, which I do, and the looks, which I do, and the tone, which I do, but it sounds like the tone comes courtesy of Roland.

Even with the less than energetic playing, it reminds me that the BN5 has a killer slap tone.

And even in this youtube, you can hear the zing the Mac fingerboard provides as well.

The grain on that fingerboard REALLY does it for me. It's mesmerizing.

I just listed my Yin Yang for sale so that I could get the fretted AC6.

As I typed the ad, my stomach was doing flip flops, and ever since I posted it, I've had butterflies. Uh, no Fodera pun intended there.

I've always become attached to things... you should see me crying when we sell a house we've lived and made memories in.

While the Yin Yang is a GREAT bass that I love, I honestly don't play it 1 hour in a month. So how could I possibly be this rattled about parting with it?

I don't know how these guys who turn over basses all the time on talkbass do it.

Donovan, I don't know how you do it. I could NEVER become a bass seller.

I'm a sentimental fool I guess.

i always thought i was sentimental about gear but learned that im not. i just sold my fodera after owning it almost 10 years and ordering it to my specs. my wife kept asking me if i was sure i wanted to sell it and it ended up not bothering me. i felt weirder about having 6500 dollars in cash in my hands than turning over that bass to the new owner.

I'm getting there. I recently parted with a few really special pieces, and it was easier than I thought it'd be. And yeah, the money is kinda' weird. Puts things in perspective a bit too, when you see the cash value of a high end instrument in actual cash.
