Yes, and it'll be forthcoming, though I don't know exactly when at this point. But at least last we spoke, it was definitely real and gonna' happen.Any word about what the "Sadowsky Select" could be ???
It's unboxed, and played even, a little bit.
While I like it better than the RV5PJ I had, I think I still hear a little of that oddball voicing that's run me out of every PJ I've ever tried.
Fit, finish, playability are-as with all things Sadowsky-impeccable and awesome.
Gigs Friday and Saturday, we'll see how she flies.

LOL!! I haven't really noticed an "oddball voicing" on my PJ5 at all. I'm so digging the difference between it and my Sadowsky JJ's.
I realize that question is a bigger deal, and that I didn't answer it, because I can't, but I did think I at least brought a little good info in tho. If not, sorry.Thanks, Vic. This was very informative.LOL!!
Alot of us dont know what it is and I believe thats what the question was. What is it rather than when is it???

I was just thinking someone might assume since they pulled the teaser down they were dumping the idea, but I'm pretty sure that's not true.
FWIW, I guess.
I know.I figured as much. I was just goofin' a bit!! It's all good!![]()

First Off;
this thing looks even better in person. The action was pretty low, so I went thru my setup routine on her, raised the action a tad, added a touch of relief, and raised the pups to match the slightly higher action.
Fit, finish, playability: all top notch. The portabag is my fave bag-nice. The new pup covers have more rounded edges, and a slightly textured matte finish: nice.
I had rehearsal with the swing band tonight. Three singers, guitar, drums, horn section; big band! Usually I play DB or fretless precision with nylon tapes with these guys. A Sadowsky ash/maple PJ with fresh blue steels probably wouldn't be my first choice with this band, but hey, I've got 7 days approval period. This is the only bass I"m gonna play much for the next week!
The big surprise to me, tonight, was how well this thing took to the circumstances. Blended solidly to the P pup, passive mode, tone rolled back about 70%, thumbstyle, palm mute, and this bass warmed up, fattened up, and thudded just right. Who knew?
That's it for now. Pretty brief, but, it's what today was. I have fri/sat gigs with two different rock bands where she'll be much more in her element-not that she didn't work out just fine tonight or anything...I think we're friends, but she's gotta get out and rock some more!!!
Wow, I'd rather have the pickups in the normal J positions, but man, that looks really interesting as a modern thing! I'd also personally have to ditch the gold hardware. Never really been a fan of gold hardware.Some interesting Sadowsky bass from TYO.

I'm looking forward to comparing the MV5PJ's passive P voicing (which is Nordstrand powered, right?) to my Nord powered Lakland ash/maple P5 (which is passive) to see how that stacks up. The MV5 felt fairly well like a Regular Ole P in passive mode tonight, but it warrants a direct comparison.
