PS: Did you ever decide you might get a gold guard for a change-up Fran? I know it was on your mind awhile back.

Come on guys that is the one I'm eyeing...now everybody knows!:eyebrow::hiding:

I guess I'll have to get a new pic like this,,,

Where is the matching purple jumpsuit? In all honesty, that bass is gonna look killer.

I will say thank God for the black hardware. Years ago when I worked music retail, I had a customer with a Warmoth jazz bass. The body was similar to Joey's (trans purple over a flame top). However, the gold hardware was just way too much.

....I've been very busy lately, but as soon as I have a minute to contact Kevin I'll go for the gold guard (I might need to send my current pg and that makes me feel a little unconfortable about the operation).

How about just sending in a folded tracing.

I'm curious about something. Fender gold guards have a "tooth" or abrasiveness to the surface which kind of files off your thumb nail when playing :). I put one on my F. P-bass but went over the surface 1st w/a block/1200 machinist paper to take that tooth down. (a block keeps the paper on the top of the surface & leaves the color alone.) Just wonder if Roger's gold guards have the same tooth to them. Anyone?

....And I have been a P-Bass guy since 1969. Have owned many other types but always come back to the P!

Being a P guy, how do you feel about the J neck on that bass we're talking about? That bass weighs the same as mine-7.7lb. Same basic ash/rw spec but w/Mad.rw. Love it.

Well, I'm glad my different color choice made for some entertaining comments! :D

Are you having the headstock painted to match? (say yes)

One of my main P-Bass' has a Modulus neck off a VJ melded with a Warmoth J-Body with only a P pickup. Not sure about the similarity with the Sadowsky neck profile but the nut width is the same.

It will probably be gone by June 8th. That is the day for our bonus checks at work. Oh well they do still make 'em. I could throw it on plastic but lately I've been sticking to....No cash! No purchase!

Now isn't gold & purple the main color scheme for French Quarter, right? It seems that it would fit right in for the festivals.

Gold hardware would be too blingy with the purple. I do have two basses that have gold hardware but it seems to go really well with flamed Koa.

Purple jumpsuit FTW. Personally, I'm in the market for a purple fedora.

I think you should reconsider the matching headstock, myself... and perhaps think about adding to your ensemble of purple bass/fedora/jumpsuit a oly white feather boa and a leopard hatband for the fedora.
Just sayin...

Alright no gold, that's cool...not your thing, too pimp...I actually prefer black over chrome though.

However, I'm very glad you're not doing the matching headstock; something about that with maple fretboards just doesn't look right...perfect with darker fretboards but maple? Nah ah

The figuring on the body is insane though, it's gonna be awesome either way.
