The quilt in that top has a very Escher-esque quality. Yes, you can see the book match, but the shadowing really plays with your perception. A total winner. (I think the gold hardware could work, with an ebony FB and Evo Gold frets.) What FB are you pairing with this beauty?

I need to install the vtv on my 12 year old maple ash 5 string , just no one here in town I trust to do it , Seattle would be the closest for me , might just do it soon , I know I wont regret it .

I took my MV5 to rehearsal with a new band last night.
Everyone commented on how big and clear it was.

Yep. I love that bass.
(it wears a black p/g now, Kevin &Co changed that, and the hc's to single coils before it shipped)

Why'd you choose purple, anyway? Just like the hue, or was there something specific you had planned for the axe that required that finish?

Purple is my favorite color. So, when I ordered my custom build from Sadowsky
I talked to Kevin about the color and he said the trans purple basses they made
in the past (which isn't many) were very stunning. So, I went with it!

Believe me........I got the Prince comments from Kev as well!!
But, it's going to be a very unique bass that is very much me!
